Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup milk of choice 
  • ½ tablespoon cacao or cocoa powder, optional
  • 1 tablespoon maca powder
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ½ tablespoon maple syrup or granulated sweetener, plus more to taste; optional
  • 1 shot of espresso prepared

Directions:

  1. Heat a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. When the pan is warm, add 1 cup of milk of your choice and heat, stirring occasionally, until warm.
  2. Add cacao, maca powder, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and maple syrup to the saucepan. Whisk well to combine, then let the mixture simmer. Whisk occasionally until the mixture is hot or very warm (as desired).
  3. If using a sieve or strainer, fit the tool over the serving mug or glass. Slowly and carefully, pour the liquid through the strainer and into the container. Discard any clumps or sediment collected by the strainer.
  4. Pour espresso shot on top of maca latte in serving mug. Stir to incorporate if desired and serve immediately.

A refreshing morning elixir with maca-infused coconut milk! Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 5 minutes (+15 min cooling) | Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp coffee powder
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ice

Directions:

  1. Place the coffee powder, maca powder, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and water in a metal Turkish coffee pot (Cezve).
  2. Using a small spoon, stir briefly until just combined, and place the pot on the stovetop.
  3. Slowly bring the coffee mixture to a boil over medium heat. This will take 3-4 minutes, so keep a close watch.
  4. Let it cool.
  5. Add in coffee vanilla extract, coconut milk, and ice.
